We accept all types of people to Shopper Thoughts, but unfortunately we cannot accept those aged under 18 years.
How long will a survey take?Go to top
We'll let you know how long a survey should take so you can decide whether or not you have time to complete it. Generally they'll last between 5 and 20 minutes. You can monitor how far you are through a survey by the progress bar on the survey page.
How long do I have to complete the survey? Go to top
Each survey is only open for a short time so we can react quickly to your views. You will find the closing date on the email invitation you receive. We will send a reminder email a few days before the closing date so that you don't lose the opportunity to receive extra points or entry to a prize draw, depending on the type of survey.
How often will I receive surveys? Go to top
You will be given regular opportunities to take part in surveys which are relevant to you.
Do I have to take part in all surveys? Go to top
You are completely free to choose whether to participate in any of the surveys we send.
Why am I sometimes kicked out of surveys I’ve been invited to take part in?Go to top
We always aim to send you surveys that are relevant to you. In some surveys there are different routes that can be taken, and a desired number of responses per route. If you do not meet the criteria of any of the possible survey routes, or if the route that you fit into has already reached its maximum number of responses then you will not be able to complete the rest of the survey. We will usually determine whether you are eligible for the survey or not within the first 2 to 4 questions.
How many points will I receive?Go to top
The number of points may vary and the amount will be clearly stated before you start any survey. There will be some short surveys where you will not be allocated points. You will be entered into a quarterly prize draw instead. Each time you complete a survey offering a prize draw you would be entered in the next available quarterly prize draw. Prizes ranges from 10,000 to 50,000 points.
When will I get my Points? Go to top
You will recieve your allocated points on successfully completing the survey. You can check your balance on the shopper thoughts dashboard once you log in and your balance will be updated with the new amount. If you do not receive the points within 48 hours, please contact us on support@shopperthoughts.my
Prize draw winners Go to top
Each month we will publish the first name and region of the winners and runner-ups of our prize draws. If you are a winner or runner-up you will be given the option to opt out of having your first name and region published by email. We will never publish information that could be used to identify you personally.
Where is my voucher? Go to top
You should expect to receive your voucher within [7 days] of receiving the email. If you find that you have not received your voucher after this period of time please contact us by following the ‘contact us’ link on our website. Once your voucher query has been logged someone will investigate this for you.
Why would you reject someone that you've invited to participate?Go to top
We have to ask questions to qualify your eligibility; for example you need to be 18 or over and we must have your consent to the terms and conditions of participation. To be representative of all customers, we're limiting members to one per household. Please don't be offended if at this time it is not appropriate to include you in Shopper Thoughts.

An exclusive new Shopper Thoughts survey where members can earn Shopper Thoughts points by submitting their shopping receipts online.

You will be informed via email and you can also login to Shopper Thoughts website and check in Basket Tracker section.

Can I upload any shopping receipts?Go to top
There are certain criterias for uploading Shopping receipts for Basket Tracker project. Please follow the below rules:
  • The receipts should not be older than 7 days from the date of upload.
  • The image should not exceed 10 MB size and you can upload only TIFF/PNG/JPG/PDF file.
  • Please make sure the uploaded images are clear and readable.
  • Please do not upload partial images or duplicate images.
  • The receipts has to be from the selected stores ONLY(Tesco, Giant, Aeon, Aeon Big, 99 Speedmart, Mydin, NSK & Econsave).
Please note that receipts from other stores will be rejected and not rewarded.
When will the Shopper Thoughts Points be credit into my account?Go to top
The Shopper Thoughts Points will be credited to your account within 7 business days from the last date for Submission.
How many Points will I earn for each receipt?Go to top
Total Points will be based on the number of valid and verified images you have submitted. 200 Shopper Thoughts Points will be rewarded for every successful image verification.
How will I know how many of my uploads are verified?Go to top
After the validation is completed, the status will be updated in the upload section.
Will I incur data usage charges from my mobile network provider for using Shopper Thoughts on a mobile device? Go to top
Internet access is needed to access Shopper Thoughts (via desktop or mobile browser). If you choose to access Shopper Thoughts through a mobile device charges may be levied by your network provider based on your mobile device’s data usage package. To avoid data usage charges, using a Wifi connection is recommended.
Can I leave Shopper Thoughts at any time? Go to top
You are under no obligation to stay in the Shopper Thoughts panel any longer than you wish to. Each survey that we send will give you an opportunity to unsubscribe, or you can log on to http://shopperthoughts.my/ and go to 'Preferences' and click on 'Unsubscribe'
Under what circumstances can I be removed from Shopper Thoughts? Go to top
Anyone found to be misusing the Shopper Thoughts website either by posting inappropriate material or answering surveys falsely (e.g. answering all questions with the same answer or selecting the first option in every question) will not be contacted for any further activity..
How will my information that I share on the Shopper Thoughts website be used?Go to top
The overall results that you and other Shopper Thoughts members share with us will be used by Tesco and selected suppliers to help us improve our products and services. The results may also be shared with other selected suppliers and partners, but your personal details will never be passed to anyone outside the Tesco Group for their marketing purposes.

Tesco fully complies with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the surveys are administered by Borderless Access, an accredited Market Research Society company.
